Cool Winter tires, do you use them and what kind?

Winter tires, do you use them and what kind?

Do you run winter tires on your car? Was thinking about getting a set just not sure if its worth the $. Also did you get a new set of wheels and tires with TPM's or just tires.

Thank you.

I do not run winter tires, I'm good with all season tires. I heard they wear fast. Apparently only half of the tread is the special winter formula, once you reach a certain point, they're just like any other tire.

I live in SE Wisconsin. Snow available from November to March. usually stays on the ground from Christmas to March 15.
Some years very little snow, other several feet.
I grew up with rear wheel drive and near bald tires.. So to me, slipping around while driving is a lot of fun.

So NO I do not plan on using snow tires, and never did.

My last car had Summer only tires, (Contour SVT) and i drove that car with the Summer tires for 13 Winters.. Never had an issue in 100,000 miles.

Now I live in a city, and not out in the wilds.. So that too.
Many people cite safety.. Problem is how folks drive is way way more important for Winter safety than what tire you got.

I live in what is considered a big city were the roads are clear 90% of the time during the winter months so snow tires woudnt make sense to me. I do hear winter tires make a world a difference in the slush/snow.
