'Moneybags" LOL. VERY far from it.

Maybe ask what I did to my wheels?

I sandblasted them (with a sand blaster I built, sand comes from a gravel pit, $5/ half yard) primed them and painted them drab green (all spray paint). Been rolling that way for years.
I don't have money for cool rims. So much like you I work with what I have.

I've also tried polishing them. My mistake was thinking I could do so after sandblasting. You've no idea how many hours per wheel it'd take to bring them back.
Unfortunately, I'm about to strip them again and go a different route this time, gloss black face and Copper center ... problem is the Copper has to be laid over a polished surface for it to actually look Copper.
So looks like I'll be putting 100 hours into polishing them. Yay.

That sounds like a killer idea.

Polishing will take forever and a day. But more power to you if you have the patience. I don't.

Painting the wheel is fine if you want to keep the color for awhile.

Personally, I'd sand them smooth, clear coat them and Plasti Dip.

You know you can make Plasti Dip in any color you want right?
