replacing tires on 09 Focus SES sedan, any suggestions

My '09 Focus has 35,000 miles. Not too happy with the Kumho. Anybody having good luck with the tires they replaced? Thanks!
5/24 edit: Thanks to all who made a comment. One thing about this Focus it is terrible when there is over 1" of snow. My
second car is a '97 Ford Taurus wagon, and it does great in snow. I do have 5 tires to do homework on. I was hoping to get some
'09 Focus owners that have replaced the Solus tires. I am emailing Julian from Tire Rack, and he may be a big help.
7/27/13 edit: I purchased a set of Uniroyal Tiger Paw GTZ. Yesterday I had my dealer do an alignment. That went great! It wasn't too far off from Ford specs.
The tires make a very good ride. The only complaint I have is the Uniroyal website isn't sending me a confirmation email
when I send in the registration of the tires. In fact I have sent 3 email and no reply. I even called Uniroyal to confirm they
have my info, but all I got was a runaround. Again, to all who made suggestions I checked out and researched the tires. Thanks!

2 months ago i purchased a 2011 SES with 15,690 on the clock and it had the stock kumho tires on it, i couldn't get rid of them fast enough and im trying out some Hankook Ventus V4 ES all seasons. Have almost 3 k on them and so far other than a slightly hollow sound to them on the road they are performing nicely.....

Wait, really? You didn't like the Kumhos? Which ones come stock on the focus? When I got my 08 it has Pirelli P4 Four Seasons on them, and they were just shitty. I just got Kumho Ecsta LE Sports and they are great. Very grippy and quiet, and even good in the rain!

Should give a little background as to why i got rid of the kumho solus tires on my Focus. I purchased the vehicle on a salvage title, it had a rear end collision the body was very professionally repaired but the tires were not replaced as they had some rotational grooving on the rear tires from the bumper or other related body components gouging the tires, one had some nylon cord protruding upon closer inspection of the tire. The car would also pull something wicked in rutted roads depending on the position i was in in comparison to the ruts. Soon as i changed the tires out the pulling problem dissapeared on the same rutted roads. The tires i got grip nicely on wet or dry surfaces but as i said the only pitfall of them is the hollow sound they have on rough surfaced roads or bumps.
Oh and every 2011 SES ive seen so far came stock with the kumho solus.... not saying its impossible another brand of tire was used on the 2011's at some point?, as to the 2008 SES, i cant say as ive never really paid attention to the tires on em...

Okay, I understand, Well the Solus are an all season tire, so it's kind of like a mush of everything. It's not really good at anything at all. I wouldn't write off Kumho as a brand for just that tire though. I am loving my Ecstas. We just got a bunch of rain that was left over from the storms that wrecked Oklahoma, and my tires performed excellently. Even better then my Fuzion HRI all seasons would have. Take a look around tirerack.com and look at the reviews for tires, it really is a great place to do research.
