A new Focus owner looking for help

Recently purchased a 2013 focus Se. I also purchased snow tires and had them mounted on steel wheels without the tpms sensors. the dealer informed me that the tpms would alert me to the fact that the wheels don't have the sensors and figured how bad could it be. Well its driving me nuts. My question is what kind of tpms sensor does the 2013 use? I see that rock auto has some but I would like to be sure before buying.

Sounds like the steel wheels and snow tires are a second set, so the sensors would still be in his summer wheels.

Tire Rack sells them for about $130 per set. They are listed as "315MHz Tire Pressure Sensor" when I configure a wheel purchase with sensors and look at my cart. I don't see a way on tirerack.com to buy the sensors stand-alone; you'd probably need to phone in the order.

I'd probably start by going back to the dealer who mounted your tires onto your wheels. Anyone selling tires and wheels these days probably has the wherewithal to sell you some sensors too. They go inside the tire, so you'd need to have your tires removed and remounted anyway.
