Bigger tires than stock?

So the stock size 17s are 215/45/17, And I'm due for new tires soon. I don't want to lower, I like the ground clearance for winter, but I'd like to close that huuuge gap. I know 225/45/17 should be no problem, anyone running that or even a larger size with the stock 17" multi spokes? I have a 2009 SES coupe. Thanks.

I was thinking the same thing. I am lowering mine but besides the huge gap, our tires are basically low profile and I feel quite a bit compared to a taller tire.

Idk what I will do since i am getting lowered, rims and tires

You can do it, but it's not gonna close the gap by much. between those two you're looking at a height difference of about 4mm. that and a 225/45 is gonna be near impossible to find.

changing the tire size never does much for gap unless you make a big change and then you run in to other issues. speedo being off, wheel well isn't wide enough to clear it. . .

Hey folks,

I'd suggest checking out Ford's Tire Finder Tool. In addition to finding the perfect tires for your ride, there are money-saving coupons available so you'll have a little extra green in your pocket. Check it out: http://owner.ford.com/servlet/Conten...mo-position3.1

Have a great day,
Crystal
