I'm now officially clueless......

So I got a set of K-Sport coilovers installed a few weeks ago. I only lowered it about a quarter of an inch in the front from what it was before. The coilovers are almost all the way up as they can go, only about 6 or 7 threads left. (might be the cure to my problem, not sure). My problem is I'm rubbing like crazy, mainly on the front passenger side but it's happening on both sides. My fenders are already rolled, at least somewhat might not be a very good job. Just wondering what my options are to try and fix this. I'm running on 215/45/17s with EAPs. So far I can think my only options are:

1) Look into possibly seeing if the fenders can be rolled more/better.
2) Raising the car up those leftover threads.
3) Going to 40 series tires, although I'd be tempted to lower it down more.
4) Get RS fenders (lol doubtful).
5) I thought I read somewhere that regular euro fenders are slightly more flared than the US spec fenders. This might be a possible solution, because there's a set for sale near me.

Does anyone know of any other possible solutions? I went over a slight bump today and ripped up my sidewall pretty bad.

even at that height those shouldnt be rubbing.

The little fender liner tab in the center of the wheel arch, bend that further back, its probably your issue. How stiff are the shocks (cant remember if the ksports are adjustable)?

additionally, whats your alignment like?

I'm not sure if all K-Sports are adjustable but mine are currently set as stiff as possible. I think I looked into bending that tab back some, haven't done it yet though. I'm thinking it'll still rub since the passenger side seems to stick out slightly more than the drivers side.

I haven't had it aligned just yet, I thought waiting until I fix this issue and get it dialed in to my liking would be best. I'm not sure when the last time it was aligned.

Most coilovers do a lousy job of raising a car. Most will say they lower a car something like 1.5 to 3.0 inches (a range). What that means is that they "start" with a 1.5" drop and only get lower not necessarily any taller. I thought K sports had two adjustments 1) the shock body could be lengthened or shortened by adjusting the lower portion of the shock/strut body and 2) spring compression (although a poor way to raise or lower a car as it impacts suspension travel). That said, I believe the K Sports are good at lowering but little else.

That's what I found out after having to raise it so much so the fender didn't sit on the tire. Still tucking about 1/4 of the sidewall almost.

Anyone have any other ideas on how to fix it so I don't rub as much? Would like to still save my tires lol. And also looking to fix this before I get an alignment.

if youre tucking 1/4" of tire, you need more rolling (maybe a pull). Im on a 2" drop with konis and only rub when turning HARD making a right.

also, since your pass side is rubbing more, hows your subframe alignment?

poke around the FJ stance area for answers

I'm not sure how the fenders should be after they're rolled but my brother commented that they were an alright job, so maybe they could be better. What do you mean by pull? Is that where you roll the fenders but toward the outside of the car?

Not sure how the alignment on the subframe is. When the previous owner had the car it was in a wreck but nothing too bad to salvage the title. Maybe that could have thrown it out of alignment?

pulling is just that, pull the fender out.

in the North GA, NC, Maryland area there are a bunch of low people from FJ who may be able to help you out.

I just made a post in the Stance area on FJ, hopefully they'll offer up something.

Fender flares could be another option also. Are there any place that sells those? I've looked briefly but haven't come up with anything.
