honestly... just put some money aside until you can afford a real drop. I have never seen those before but understanding how they work, these are terribly unsafe products. Maybe buy some and try to sue the company for damages to pay for a real system.

Replace the springs.
Used lowering springs come up for sale often, and they don't wear out.

Yeah, if you're on a budget, go with some used springs in the buy/sell/trade section. I know for a fact that you can buy Skunk2 springs for the Focus for around $100 new, and honestly, they are pretty damn good springs...
