Help me decide what size rims I should put on my ZX5

First post here, (hoping many more to come!)

Anyways, I dont have a picture of my Focus but I found this online and its IDENTICAL to mine

Im just curious what size wheels I should get, I was thinking 17 or 18's and also thinking about if I should drop my car 2 inches or so?

What is the best look possible in your guys opinion? Im a total noob when it comes to car stuff.

Also, maybe post pictures for examples? thanks guys!

Welcome to FF! I personally think that 17" is the ideal wheel size for 00-07, but it depends on the wheel. Some, like RS and Tarmac wheels, look better in 18. What wheels are you looking at specifically?

As for a drop, whatever you do, make sure to upgrade the shocks and struts as well. There is a sticky thread with a lot of different suspension set ups. For a low drop like you want, I would think H&R race springs. A lot of people run Eibach Sportlines, but in my opinion Eibachs are too soft.

A 17x7" with a 45 to 49mm offset wraped with 215/45-17 tires works great on just about any Focus dropped or not. We had a set of SVT dark argent euro (EAP) wheels (a deep gray) which looked great on our CD Silver ZX3.

This. That size looks just about perfect on Focuses.

As for suspension, here's what i'll probably be getting for my ZX3: http://tousleyfordparts.com/partloca...catalogid=5684
Lowers you about half an inch, rides like stock.

That's my preference, but then again I deal with snow. In SoCal that's probably not so much of an issue...

If you want your car to be way more fun to drive, a new suspension is a great start. 1.5-2" drop looks great and still keeps the car easy to drive daily.

I personally think 17"s on an 07 stock focus doesnt look right, our year just sits really high. 16's and 17's tend to look the best and offer the best performance imo. Everything just depends on your goals and budget.
