Lakewood Traction Bar help?

Was wondering if there is anyone that can help me with fitment of the lakewood bar on my 2005 zx3

I know it was made for the 2004 and down but i believe we still have the same frame and all so it should fit just fine.

The only issue i ran into was the center bar seems just a tad bit short of the subframe.

You can see that the bar is maybe just a inch or so shy of making the holes directly over the subframe.

after doing some searching i found this thread that has a lakewood. Is it suppose to be just a tad short, so it pulls everything together? Or is the 2004 really different from 2005 that it makes a difference. The subframe is also centered i checked that too.

Any idea or inputs would be appriciated.

Thank You!!!

I looked at the lakewood set up to a few yrs ago. Have you tried puting the rear of the bar to the cradle first, just start the bolts a few turns & then add the rad. support next? I beleive the cradles are the same diametions. Kind of a bummer if you have to mod a aftermarket part. I had to mod aftermarket parts to fit w. other aftermarket parts.

I'll give it a try tonight and see what happens. Hopefully this doesnt require to much modification to make it work

Just say, Thats seems like a lot= wow. I'm use of seeing an 1/8 to a 1/4'' difference on some aftermarket parts. You may end up extening it a 1/2'' or so.

Get a piece of 1/4" steel and make it so one end of it bolts to the core support and the other to the traction bar. A local welding shop will probably have a scrap piece big enough to work.
