New tires?

I've worn my tires to nearly bald and I'm in need of new tires bad. What are the best tires to get for the stock wheel size (2000 zx3) for a reasonable price. I'm looking for all season tires seeing as I live in Wisconsin.

I'm impressed with my Conti DWS so far but they do sacrifice some dry grip but not as much as I thought.

Hit up Trevor @ Tireack. He is a sponsor here & you have a lot of choices there.

The early Focus came with 14, 15, and 16 inch wheels. Could you be more specific on which wheel size you have? The reason I ask is that not all tires come in all wheel diameters. For example, the Conti Extreme Contact DWS is a great all season tire (possible the best all around all season tire currently available) but I don't believe it comes in 14 or 15 inch wheel sizes. Secondly, do you have a budget you need to stay within and lastly what are the most important tire traits you're looking for (tire wear, handling, ride comfort, etc)?

I have a '02 ZX3 and have been fairly happy with Eagle GT's. Good wet traction and so-so snow traction in Chicago winters.

It's hard finding a good quality, low-profile, truly all-season tire without paying an arm & a leg. Tire companies equate low profile with performance, and that comes at the expense of snow traction.

I drove a '91 Escort for years. I'd buy the cheapest all-season 155/80/13 Firestones and they'd last for over 50K miles. That car could claw thru Chicago snows that stranded SUV's. I never got stuck nor wiped out (unless I was trying to). Now I have 205/50/16's and will never buy an everyday car with low-profile tires again!
