Question about setup

I have an '06 zx5. I'm running 215/45/17 with a 42mm offset.

I want a drop and I am looking at buying either the svt package with the omni kit, or frpp springs.

I had the svt setup on my '03 with the same wheels and had no rubbing issues, but I am thinking I want a bigger drop this time. My biggest concern is rubbing. I drive on a lot of dirt roads and sometimes have my teenage kids in the back.

Can i safely handle a 1.4" inch drop without having to deal with the wife complaining every time we drive out on dirt roads? Or should I just stick to the svt setup?

I have the frpp springs/shocks and with weight in my car (ie rear passengers) ill rub on some dips and harder turns. It's mostly just the rear passenger side and it will be the occasional larger dip on the highway or if I'm pushing through the twisties at some speed.

With just me and someone in the front seat, rubbing is very rare.

If you have to go on dirt roads and will be carrying around passengers, stick to the SVT suspension. Best to keep the wife from giving your ears a workout.

Go for the FRPP's kit

Go for the FRPP's kit this time around. The svt's are lower than the regular foci's.
