Question Rear squeak. 03 zx3 W/FRPP, 1.5 springs.

I installed the FRPP kit in my 03 zx3 about 6-8 months ago, and I can hear the rubber that sits on top of the springs in the rear squeaking.

I have checked all the bushings and even looked for the e-brake line rubbing on the gas tank, and it all seems to be fine.

So my question is, what can I do to stop the rubber on top of the springs from squeaking?

Should I put white lithium grease on them? And can I do it with them still on, maybe just jack the car up and use a fine brush to get it all over it?

Or is there something better to do?

Thanks guys,

Djzx3

CFM sells a shim that you place in the top of the springs to stop the noise. I had the same problem and the shims fixed the noise. Easy fix.

I doubt the spring isolators are squeaking, but if some how they are, greasing them should be fine. Maybe your sway bar is the culprit, grease you sway bar bushings first.

I did that yesterday, lower control arms, toe arms, camber arms, and sway bar bushings, today I will grease the top spring bushing, and maybe check out the top of the shock in the back, because it too has a rubber bushing.
