putting OEM 16" alloys on a 2001 LX

Since the 2001 LX has standard 14" steelies is it possible to upgrade to the OEM 6-spoke 3438 alloys? Any reason this would be a bad thing?

nope just use the proper sized tire(205-50-r16) and you will have no problem what so ever.

Thanks for the quick response. I figure since I need tires anyway I may as well fill up the wheel well a little more!

Thats a good plan. once you get more posts you can search through the BST area and look for deals there. Usually good deals pop up on OEM wheels no one wants.

The bloody 16's are actually HARDER to find used than SVT 17's, Just 'cause everyone with an SVT needs them for winter tires to fit over the brakes....

15" Alloys, in more than one style are easier to score, and great winter wheels if you aren't running SVT brakes.... (the newer brakes (Rally Kit) fit fine..)

well i know i've seen some for sale for cheap and maybe with tires. I bought a set of 6 spoke 16 inch wheels for $80 about 2 years ago from here. Just keep looking and they pop up.
