Is there a generally-accepted "safe" range for wheel spacers? I have a set of +60mm offset Jaguar wheels (17x7.5) that I want to use, but the backspacing is only 1mm short of the Handling Package's wheel/tire set, and the wheels will look even more "sunk in" to the well. At what point would we need new studs?
I know zx3matt is using 15mm spacers on his (stock) rear wheels, but I'm not sure if he replaced the studs.
zx3Matt is using 15mm on +45mm offset wheels, effectively making a +30mm offset. So, the +60 Jag's would end up at +45, which should be fine. I'm fairly certain he is using OE studs, but I'll ask him when I go get his OE wheels that he replaced with new hotness.
Now that you mentioned, they almost look alike. We don't get this variant in Malaysia.
Just to get some opinion. Focus suits more spokes or less spokes ? And what colour will match ingot silver sedan ? Appreciate some feedback as having headache how will it look like once installed.
24 lbs.
- Wheel weight source: I asked an ebay seller how much it weighed. This needs validated.
- Stock tires are Continental ConiProContact 215/50R17. TireRack lists them as 22 lbs.
25.8 lbs.

- Stock tires are Michelin Pilot Sport 3 235/40ZR18. TireRack lists them as 22 lbs. and I weighed my own @ 4500 miles and they are are 22lbs.

Still really like these and are pretty nice for a $115 wheel. These seem a bit common in my area but most are the black version which is the very reason I went with gunmetal.
The Conti DWS is the best A/S tire I've driven on but get a bit sketchy on packed icy roads but are better if you have an inch or two of snow to drive on. Definetly would want real snows if this was a winter driver. In the dry the grip is solid and the breakaway is predictable but still acts like an A/S at the limits but I have no regrets going with the tire.
Got a little over 5000 miles on 'em and have noticed no wear yet.
I posted this in the wheel forum, but am putting it in here too since this thread helped me with figuring out what new wheels to get. The new wheels I got were 17" Assetto Garas, which replaced my 18" THP wheels.
I was figuring to lose about 10 lbs per corner but ended up with just 6 as the 18"ers weighed 46 lbs and the Sparcos (with ContiProContact 215/50 LRR tires) 40 lbs.
However after a couple thousand miles, I'm seeing about a 10% increase in mileage (3-4 MPG). When summer comes around, it'll probably be even better [8D]
