Road racing tires, will it fit??

I am looking for some track time this summer but am not sure what tire seize I should use not to rub under hard corners but still be able to get the most amount of grip possible.I have THESE rims in flat silver (16"). Right now I have winter tires on them but am looking for some gripy tires on it. But I am not sure what seize to get.
Right now I am pending between THESE in 205/50R16, 205/55R16, or 225/50R16. I want the most grip but i don't want to rub.
I am slightly dropped with the saleen racecraft kit (0.75 inch lower then stock SVT)

I have 225's on 17's. They did rub a little, but a pal with a fender roller fixed that.

the offset is really important...best to go with an offser between 42-49 and with the tire sizes you gave...I would go with the 205/50 or a 215/45 or 225/45

The safest is probably the 205/50/16 but would there be a noticeable grip difference between the 225/50/16?

And is the 205/50/16 tire the same running surface as my stock SVTs (215/45/17)? I ask this because I have winter tires on my 16" rims, they are 205/55/16 and they seem to be wider then my stock SVTs.

i dont know about the 205/50 having the same running surface but I know the diameter is almost spot on...off by like .1 smaller than the OEM 215/45/17 size.....I dont see how a 205/50 and a 215/45 are any diff when it comes to safety and fitting..the only difference is the fact that you would loose exactly 1" in tire diameter and your speedo will read maybe 3-4 mph faster than actual speed....I just think that a 225/50 will do nothing but make the sidewall taller and make them sloppy noisey
