FYI. 245/45/17 fit on my baby

Posted via FF Mobile

I am very excited to tell you all that 245 45 17, v710's on 7.5in 45 et rota grid wheels fit fine on my ST. I just had to bend the inner lip in the rear and they worked like a champ.

my suspension mods are.
steeda race rear sway
ground contol on rear
H&R race spring at front
kyb's all around.
street plates at front
not sure what negatice camber but max negative
front upper strut bar.
lower bar at front.

and excited to do my first autoX on r-comps.

pics later this weekend

I just sold my 225/45 17 tires because of rubbing on my stock svt suspension. I figure your stiffer suspension helps a lot and the wheel well mod is the finishing touch.

So wider tires probably hurt fuel economy but are great for autox, right?

Not to mention horrible rain traction, but I bet they bite like a son of a gun on dry pavement though.

I don't drive them on the street they are my race set so fuel economy really goes to shit at the track anyways.

and as far as rain goes I use street tires on rain mounted on svt euro wheels.

pics i'll get posted as soon as I get internet at my house. I just moved so that will take about a week

245s sound like overkill. Grats on getting em to fit tho. 205-215 are more than sufficient. Sounds like the only accomplishments with that is more unsprung weight, and a taller final gear ratio which arent things i'd be after. I would of gotten some 205/45/16s on some lightweight wheels if they are for the track.

Im not gonna lie. they are a bit heavy. but I am much faster with the heavy 245 than the light 225s same wheel. stoping power is huge difference. even with a torsen wheel spin was an issue coming out the corner with 225s now it just pulls with the 245.
