Rcomps, tires too big??

Hey all, i picked up a nice set of Rcomps the other day, anyways, they are 205/50/15's. Yes, i know they are slightly smaller in diameter, but they will help me for racing as i will never see over 100 mph on the track i bought them for! so its like gearing them down. Anyways, my problem is, i know they will fit on stock rims, but the surface that actually touches the ground is about 1 inch wider than my 215's!!!!! these things are so friggen wide!!! will i have a problem w/ rubbing??

You're fine...according to Tire Rack, rim width range for the V710 (205/50/15) is 5.5"-7.5".

BTW, you really can't compare treadwidth between mounted and un-mounted tires if that's what you're trying to do.
You need both tires mounted to get an accurate comparison.
Given the same size tire, the unmounted one will just about always measure wider than the mounted tire.

Were those the ones that you got a deal on Brad? I thought they were a different brand that you were getting.
