Rcomps

Which ones do you have and which ones do you prefer?? If you've only had one, please state that as I'm looking for comparisons. I'm Rcomp shopping right now and i liked my A048's, but want to see if there is anything better!

I voted for both Hoosier's just from what I have seen first hand with them on the tracks and the Toyo just for the fact that I have owned several sets of Toyo Proxy just never the racing tires and have never had a problem out of them. Both the Hoosier's and the Toyo should do a great job for you. I know my cousin can get a good deal on the Hoosier's into his shop but I think the shipping would be the deal killer though. What's the price range you have to deal with Brad?

well, my rents said they would buy me a set for my b-day, so i don't have to worry about cost. I've had the A048's, I would rate them at about a 6 out of 10, but i know there are other ones that are better!! I'm going for some treadlife here cause these badboys are expensive and i need them to last me more than a season!

Posted via FF Mobilei have A048 & nitto NT01 I Prefer the 48's but the nt01's are a great tire with lots of feedback for about half the pRice. Plus the 01's are non directional so u can rotate them to any corner 2 spread out the wear, which is a big plus on any FWD

Ah if you want I can call my cousin and ask him the pricing on the Hoosiers for ya. He has his own performance shop now and is just getting into the tuner market. Mostly what he deals with now is racecars and v8s but he is going to be getting catalogs in for parts for our cars. If you want I can give you his number so you can call for yourself.

sure, can't hurt, lol, i won't call him for a while till i've narrowed down my possiblities, but ya, can't hurt.

And all the tires above except the R888's and A048's don't have any tread, I just have heard good things about the R888's though im not necessarily looking for those. and i don't plan on going w/ the A048's again.

Hoosiers will be the tires you go with probably. My whole damn family is into dirt racing so they better know their tires lol. Just the local dirt tracks which i am sure you have up in your area. L & M Performance 513-734-DIRT just ask for Larry, that's my cousin. The phone number is kind of fitting eh? lol You can at least call him and get a price check so you know what you will be dealing with.

Check into your local requirements, I know at least here you need to be running DOT tires, meaning some of these could be out.

A6 is an amazing tire, will do a good job of covering your mistakes but they will not last long. They dont take as long to heat up / overheat than the R6.

The local favorite here is v710's. Some people have gone a season and a half on one set.

w710 is for rain, unless it rains a lot where you are i wouldnt bother...

You left out the RA-1 and NT-01, which along with the R888 are the best bang for the buck. Hoosiers are the best performing but cost a lot more money.
