Complete bushing swap

So I am lookin to swap all my suspension bushings for poly ones. Just had a couple questions for those who have done it.

1: Which bushings did you use and how do you like em?

2: Looks like a fairly easy job. Was it or did you run into massive problems with some of em? Are they pressed in and out?

Its not too bad, if you can do a swaybar swap, then you can do it just fine.

Have fun with the control arms....lol. I kid I kid

I haven't done mine yet mainly because of that but I assisted with a complete swap during my friends build on his car. You'll definitely want a hydraulic press handy to press the new ones in.

And be prepared to torch out the old ones. =fun

I have a box of Energy Suspension one waiting to go in, but not until I get all rear control arm bushings as well (for some reason the rear control arm bushings don't come with the complete set....lol, isn't that what a complete set is?)

I believe the Saleen Focus comes stock with all Poly bushings so ask any Saleen guy how he likes it. Watching one of them change lanes on the highway makes me happier then summer days on the beach.

But dude, I'll create like 50 accounts and get them all up to 1,500 posts and give you 50 rep points if you do a "how to" on it. Maybe not 50, but at least a couple dozen. I'm pretty sure I've already given you rep cuz ur such a nice doode

lol. Well I am looking to do this within the next couple months. A press won't be a problem. I have access to a 50 ton hydraulic press at school. And let me know if I am missing anything. There are the swaybar bushings front and rear, front control arm bushings, rear control arm bushings, and rear trailing arm bushings. Correct?

When you say PITA, what goes into that? Just getting the arms out?

getting the small arm that bolts up to the car threw into the new bushing was really hard took awhile we used a 2500 gallon water truck sort of as an anchor and used a hydralyc jack and pressed it up againt the front bumper of the water truck and forced those suckers through...you have to burn the rubber out of the old bushings because you need the sleeves...unless u can get them somewhere to save all the hassle and have them pressed in and maybe even buy the little piece that goes through the rear trailing arm bushing and it would make for a super quick install.

Huh alright I will keep that in mind. I am fortunant that my teacher at school was a Ford tech for 20 some years up until a year ago so he knows the Focus pretty darn well. I will ask him about it as well.
