I hope someone can help-I'm about $3,000.00 an two years into it...

I have an '03 ZX3-It has the 2.3 with the 16" wheel package. Since new it has worn tires rather quickly, but now it is literally eating them off in less that 6,000 miles.

have you done an alignment?
what kind of tires are you using?

when you say eat them away, how are they wearing?

AH, I see. What you could do is get a 4 wheel alignment, It would atleast be a start to see if the vehicle is straight, out of alignment does cause tires to fade out quickly.

What brand of tires do you have on ther right now if you don't mind me asking?

More specifics-I drive the car alot for work-It has 140K but is well kept, so it's just highway miles. It has been wearing tires more severely in the past two-three years. Harsh Winter here, so I us Hakka's in the Winter, BF Goodrich Summer. because I put about 25k on it a year I have to put a new set on every six months. recently, the insides are wearing on the tires first the backs now the fronts-BADLY! I hit a speed bump pretty fast a couple of years ago, and had it check out by FORD-Nothing wrong. When I put the Winters on it this DEC. The back tires looked literall like stop signs. I put a new set of Hakka's on it 6000 k ago and they already sound like a helicopter. Now the torque steer is really bad-almost uncontrollable. I have had new struts put in, strut tops, inner tie rod ends (twice) outer tie rod ends, sway bar links (twice), rear sway bars and have it aligned every six months-I just had the control arm bushings done today-no better. If you are sitting with it running-parked and twist the wheel back and forth you can hear a clunk when turning to the left. It is also all over the road when accelerating-I'm at my whits end-Three Ford garages and three private mechanics-my dad is a SM for a Ford dealership-says the cars are known for it-What the heck can I do. I really appreciate any help!-j

By the way-Great to meet you all! J

It's completely stock with the Ford 16" wheels stock. Love the car, but it's nuts...

My father says that all Focus are known for it. My tire dealer says the same thing. I had a 2000 and it was great none of this..

Never been wrecked, so i assume the frame should be straight.
