Need some help

Okay so I ran over a giant screw two days ago and I just took it into my local Les Schwab this morning and they told me my two rear tires are shot. I couldn't afford new ones today but I'll be going back on fri to get some. I need some advice because I plan on getting some Asa Ar1s off tirerack.com this summer and I want to know if the tires on my current rims will fit on the new ar1s I'm getting. I don't want to buy expensive tires on these rims if I cant put them on my new ones. I'm sticking with 17s so that will be the same. My current tires are 215/40 I believe so if anyone could shed some light on this it would be great. Thanks all

EDIT: So I just looked and the ASAs recommend 205/45-17 and my current rims are 215/40-17 so does that mean they aren't going to work? thanks all

I run 215/45/17 on mine without any problems. The 40 is just the height of the tire off the edge of the wheel.

Absolutely get the good tires. You won't regret it, and they will swap over with no problems.

Getting the Toyo Proxy 4s? Those are the kind that I have and I haven't really found much that can compare to them unless you want to spend more of course.

Sweet thanks guys I'll try and get the good ones. Probably the proxies if my parents want to pay for them because I don't get my check for another 2 weeks so I'm going to pay them back.
