I don't know how much better it is because when I changed mine I changed the fronts to the larger SVT size rotors. The front brakes do most of the stopping. There is a 4 wheel conversion called the Rally kit which converts the fronts to 05+ brakes which are 11"- 1" less than the SVT rotors, and rear discs. This is more economical and the replacement parts are much cheaper. I didn't do it because I had more money than brains at the time.

thats the kit i think i will be doing because for rallying, its not advised to use larger than 15 inch wheels. plus like stated above, it will be alot cheaper!!

I did the rears with the stock fronts and it was a greatly improved stopping ability. Hardly any fade and the car just plain stops like no other. It helps when I'm working the woah pedal coming off those blasts down the autobahn with the tiny hairpin off ramps. I expect it to only get better with the SVT fronts. More than enough brake for most anyone.

Buy the rally kit for your 15". The SVT's require 16" wheels

You can talk with Chris or Craig Capaldi at (586)336-RACE. They know the Focus inside and out and can give you some great advice.
