Front and rear sway bars

I'm looking into ungrading my sway bars and am wondering what everyone's experience with them is... i have a 2 inch fk automotive drop on it now...
what do you think my gains would be in switching to thicker sway bars and what setups would you guys recommend as far as front and rear thickness

Alot of us run the Eibach kit or H&R 24mm front sway an steeda's 28.6. if you deside to run the 28.6 an the 24mm bars you will have to renforce the rear frame.

OK. This is what I 'derived' from another thread.
1: 20mm front, 22mm rear. Better than stock, easier on other suspension comps. Good daily driver setup.
2: 22mm front, 25mm rear. (Eibach). Much more than stock. Reinforced LCA recommended. OEM Rear frame support should be OK.
3: 24mm front, 28.6 rear. (the FedEx Special. When you really, really got to get there fast).
Reinforced LCA required. Reinforced rear frame required. So stiff some 'doglegging' is inevitable on uneven pavement. This is fairly radical as it will deprive independent movement of the rear wheels (I.E. it will perform more like a live axle).
Now I am going to be a real party pooper and tell you something else, and take my word for this. Asking for opinions on this subject is like asking 'what's the best oil'. I.E. many voices and no consensus. So maybe flip the question around and ask, what are you going to give up when going to larger sway bars. That may help you balance the many opinions and preferences volunteered. I do have a graph should you be interested in the differences in 'pounds per inch' per mm increase/decrease in sway bar thickness (I only have the rear bar, I need the measurements from a front bar to calculate it).
Good luck soldier! My dime is that you will opt for the Eibach eventually, even though they reportedly still are having issues with the front bushings.

Ya! I remember now. How long has it been? Couple of weeks at least. FYI: I sent an email to Prothane but they never replied. So I guess they don't have a bushing to fit the Eibach front bar.

ok what do you lose in ride quality when putting thicker bars on?
does it get harsher or eliminate more body roll or what?
i'm not too familiar with modding cars in past cars i've stuck with oem
I've also read some that thicker rear bars makes the rear end more twitchy or is that only with the rear only upgraded...

also what thickness is stock for zx3 sway bars?
thanks

stock sways should be 21 front 20 rear, a rear sway will make the car oversteer, the ride wont get harsh but you will have less body roll. There is no such thing with our cars as eliminateing body roll.

considering you have little to no experience with after market sways start out with a stock front sway an a progress 22mm rear sway bar ooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrr you could get the SVT suspension kit witch includes springs, shocks, struts an a 21mm rear sway.

It will be two weeks this coming friday. If I haven't recieved it then I will call them. I've never even recieved a call saying that they have got mine and are sending the new one out. About the bushing technically they don't. What they do is shave some down to fit the bar. To me thats not good enough. Their product is fault nd should therefore be replaced with the correct bar.
