A steering rack question...

How long should the steering rack last in the 2003 SVTF? I have 134,300+ miles and i have a knowledgeable person saying that its probably time to replace it.

my current issue is that both of my inner tie rods are needing to be replaced...and it would (he says) be better just to replace to whole thing at once and be done with it rather than piece by piece, and probably cheaper too. Any suggestions? Also will warped rotors accelerate the deterioration of the steering system?

Hes correct, but it also depends on your rack. Is it showing ware? Clunking? Play? If not, that you don't need to waist money on replacing parts that are still good.

power steering fluid was low and has started to go black, there is a clunking up front mainly on the driver side...only on larger bumps...

Hmmm, well.. it is recomended you replace the steering fluid from time to time. Can't remember at how many miles.
Cluking could be from end links or tie rod ends. Inspect those before had.
