Rota's/Tire Size

I'm planning on buying a set of Rota's this summer and am stuck...
I also have Eibach Sportline Kit on right now.
16x7 4x108 with +40mm offset
or
17x7.5 4x108 with +40mm offset.

I was wondering what tires I should get, not sure if I want 16's or 17's and if 40mm offset is good?

Thanks.

i have rotas in 16" with 40mm offset and I run a 215/45 tire with no rubbing....i had rubbing issues with 205/50 tires though......some people get away with no rubbing at all....If you get the 17's i think a 215/45 would rub you would probally have to run a 205/45 on the 17's

If your going to get 16's go for the 16X7 4X108 with 45mm offset. That way you have a better chance of not rubbing. Bt for the 16's like dirtbrown said, 215/45/16's! Kuhmo xs ftw!

In either size you'd be better with some more offset. Rota doesn't recommend anything less than 45mm for the focus. With the 17s you'll have more tires and sizes to choose from. Are these going to be full-time, year-round wheels?

Most likely summer tires. I recently just got Kuhmo AST on my stock rims.

Grids or Slipstreams? I vote 17" for your situation.

Slipstreams that is. Flat Black.
Not sure what I want.
Considering that I could get 16's and drop it with the Eibach Sportlines, I figured there would be more room if there was a chance to rub. Plus i can save myself 60$ by going 16 instead of 17.
