Sway bar end link replacement.

i noticed a sound coming from the front of my car over the past few months. Its a popping, metal on metal noise. Mostly occurs over bumps at low speeds. I thought it was my passenger motor mount since one of the bolts was sheared right off. I replaced that bolt but the noise is still there. I searched the forums and found that the culprit is most likely the sway bar end links. I jacked up the front of the car and took the wheels off. There is no play in the wheels so the ball joint or w/e is good. So i tugged on the end link and it moved, not a lot but it definitely wasnt as tight as i thought it should be. I pulled on it a little bit harder and it made the popping, metal on metal noise that i hear while driving. The joint right where the link meets the sway bar is popping and what not. I highly doubt this is normal. I want to make sure this is the part which needs to be replaced so that i dont just go spend money on parts i dont need. Thanks in advance.

I just changed my sway bar links with the OEM's and the sound was gone. Alot of folks say to get the MOOG replacments, I just couldn't wait for them.

It is not hard to change them at all, just be careful so you don't rip the boot when putting them back on. here is the link. Good advice from people with same experiences. Good luck.

Nedd some Input on couple of things.. Please.

I just replaced mine over the weekend. I got the replacement ones from Advance Auto. 18-20 bucks for the two of them.

Alot better then OEM. They now look like a TRE instead of the ball in socket setup.

I just hope you don't run into what I did. Drivers side lower mount was frozen. Stripped the nut and ended up cutting off the ball mount with a 3" cut off wheel and then grinding the rest off until I was almost to pop it out of the sway bar.

Handling is 100 times better then the OEM ones.

Oh and I was had the same noise you are talking about. Mine was so bad it did it when i turned the wheels.

Anyone of a link to a cheap set of OEM or Moog. The best I have found so far is $24 a piece. Advanace Auto has 71 of them on back order already where I live. WTF!?

Why are you trying to pimp OE parts with no grease-able fittings that will just wear out. Also moog's have a lifetime warranty.
