Kazera wheels

I'm thinking about picking up some Kazera KZ-S in 17" for my Focus. But I wanted to know some stuff here. Has anyone had any experience with Kazera wheels before? I don't want to buy the 5 like I want and have them break while driving very spiritedly down some back roads, (when I say backroads I mean some that need alittle bit of work not highly traveled ones) I just want to make sure I'm getting a good wheel and not some pep-boys or Walmart brand ones. Thanks for any info

I drove the crap out of my 16" KZ-S on a bumpy ass airplane staging area at an abandoned airfield (autocross) no problems there.

Also at some point a while ago i went down a backroad as you describe. no problems again.

And they can take I-294 around Chicago at 65mph. Anything that can do that is reputable. lol

Great wheels, really light and look real good too. But a MAJOR pita to clean. Solid construction, plenty of material on the spokes. there are no sharp corners at the junctions, so no major stress concentrations (which leads to premature cracking).

Kazeras are good wheels, but like most cast wheels they will be susceptible to damage from "bad roads". One way to ensure you do not damage your wheels is to buy the correct size. You want a 215/45r17s. Those are fairly low-profile, but will still protect your wheels as much as is possible. They will also still allow you to lower your car up to 1.5" without the risk of rubbing.

yeah, the main reason I got 16" is because I didnt want to worry about cracking the wheels. more sidewall = more protection.

Another reason is that on the Focus with stock tire sizes 16" is better for autocross than 17".

Agreed on the sidewall, thats why I said to get 215/45s. That said, 17s are great for autox, especially given how many additional choices you have in tires.
