Recommendations for SVT sway bar replacement

Greetings,

At my 30 k check up, my mechanic told me that I shoud replace the sway bar soon. The ends are pretty loose. It's gotten noisier with time and I'm about ready to have them replaced. Instead of replacing them with stock, I'd like to make an upgrade but don't have the cash to go top of the line. I'd like to go with something that is an improvement in both handling as well as durability but that won't set me back a bundle. Any suggestions?

Thanks

The sway bar should be fine you probably just need to replace the endlinks. Go with Moog K80066.

Most rookies aren't aware of that
Lowxtreme is probably right
Check out the suspension forum and as CaysE points out if you do a search with these terms:
loose endlinks | SVT rear suspension

I normally wouldn't just up and post that, but swaybars and endlinks have been covered to death... it should just be made into a sticky and all further posts about them locked.

Thanks Lowxtreme, that was very helpful. I may have been able to find it by searching through similar threads, as others were suggesting, but there was so much info on sway bars that I couldn't find the answer after searching for ~45 minutes.

yeah I agee sometimes searching can be long and completly fruitless. Just depends on the subject I guess. maybe a troubleshooting section with a well labeled easily nav. way to find the answers to problems should be something for the Mods to consider.

but yeah your mech. probably ment to change the endlinks. easy to do and not to expensive either.

Just FYI... this part is for the front. Prothane and Energy Suspension make good replacements for the rear.

Or just better titles for posts would help a lot. Sometimes the title gives no idea as to what the post is about, and this slows the searching process.
