Winter tire size

I have stock 195/60/15 all seasons on my 2003 Focus Wagon SE.

Can I fit 195/65/14" winter tires/wheels on my Focus? (as a second wheel/tire winter set)

Does a 96 Ford Contour have the same bolt pattern as my Focus.

Cheers,

Kirk

I may be wrong on this, but don't you have 15" rims? But I think I see where you're going with this. You have 14" wheels with 14" tires already mounted? Never thought about it. Don't know what it would do to your speedo and other things.

Brake clearance is the only issue, The best way to check that is to mount one up, and to check the clearance yourself. Its really easy to find the bolt pattern of any car, this is for a 1996 Ford Contour, per OEM rims for sale on EBAY
Rim Information
Brand: Factory, OEM Number of Bolts: 4 Material: Alloy

Width: 6 Bolt Pattern: 4 x 4.25 or 4 x 107.95 Structure: --

Diameter: 15 inches

I want a 2nd set of wheels and tires for winter. I am thinking 195 will have a clearance issue. I might have to go to a 185.

185 65 r 15 or 185 65 14
I'd skip the 14's though. They spin around an awful lot.

Brake clearance will not be an issue unless you have gone to larger rotors.
You stated the tire size you have is 195/65/15. The stock size should be 195/60/15.

Using that number and 195/65/14 there would only be .5 mph difference in your spedo. so they will not be a problem on your car.

Personally, I'd stick with 195/60-15's for the snow tires. Its a very popular size with lots of tire availability. If you don't have the 14 inch wheels already I think you'd be better off searching for some used stock 15" wheels.

x2, on all accounts.

I found my Winterforce 195/60-15 for about $43/tire shipped. Couldnt be happier with them.
