Checker Auto, Napa, Auto Zone, Advance Auto Parts all have WEB sites with parts pricing.

I'm pretty sure you can barrow the tools from Checker, Advance Auto, etc. There are two basic types, one uses a reverse type puller (pusher?) that uses a threaded action and two pry bar like devises as a separator. The other is a manual separator that looks like a two pronged wedged fork that is driven with a hammer between the tie rod ends until they pop loose. You can buy those just about anywhere for five bucks or so. Just be cautious, ball joint separators (wedge/fork type) look nearly identical but are a different size (bigger if I remember correctly). Be specific and ask for a tie rod separator.
