i have a 2005 st i currently have Offset: 45mm Bolt Pattern: 4-108
Rec. Tire Size:215/35-18
**Lightweight: 22.5lbs.** on my car would i be able to put 215/45-18 tires on my car without a problem?

I don't think it would be the best option, you would have to be more careful while driving, specially when making U turns etc. Also if your car is lowered, you would be still hearing once in a while the tires rubbin against the inner fenderliners. A size 40 would be a better option but still....

wow 45 would like like a truck tire, plus it wouldnt fit anyways. i dont even think 40's would fit with 18"s. 35 is my best bet

Is there a reason why you don't want to use the recommended tire size? If you wanted more rubber between you and the road you should have gone with a 17" wheel to do it appropriately. There's a reason why 215/45-17 is probably the most popular tire size for the Focus. That 215/45-18 is over 1.5" in diameter bigger than the desirable (stock) tire diameter. This is not a wise choice.
