Mounting tires?

Tried putting my new rims on today but it didnt happen! They are sussposed to fit my zx3. The holes line up but they just wouldnt go on. Would it be easier just to bring them to a tire shop and have them put them on? Im not sure maybe they do something sepcial when putting them on.

Are you absolutely posotive they are drilled for the Focus or did some guy just tell you the were. Did you buy them from an actual retailer or just some guy off the street?

They told me they would fit my focus thats why i dont understand it! They have 8 holes, you'd think one combination would work!

ONLY 108mm (4.25) x 4 lug will work on our cars. It's an odd lug combo, only escorts, cougars, focus and mercury variations work with the 108x4 pattern. There's no special way of putting the wheels on. Jack your car up, put the wheel on your spindle, cross torque the lugs and take the car down.

I know, i was thinking since i can only jack it off the ground about an inch it might be easier for a shop since they can jack it all the way up to eye level to put it on the spindle!

Well the rims are either going to fit or not, so just try putting them on. It won't be a whole ton easier, trying to put a 40lb wheel+tire on your spindle may be even harder at eye level, unless you're a buff d00d. I'm weak though, very weak, so it was easier an inch above the ground.

Most 8 hole wheels are 4-100/114.3, the most common fitments. If you have the boxes the wheels come in post the numbers on the side and we can tell you if they will fit or not.

If you live close to a Discount Tire they will test fit the rim for you free of charge, and will be able to answer any questions about tires/wheels.
