I actually read a motortrend magazine the other day that compared that with the gt 500 super snake and some srt-8 challenger.

It won for the most part!!! then ford. then dodge.

It was kinda sad really, in the ones tested the maro estimated 700HP and they got like 614 HP or something like that. Ford estimated 750 and got 632 and dodge estimated 750 and got...............................wait for it.....................................432*. pretty bad huh.

Anyways, nice find.!

I really wouldnt call it impressive at all... after all you're starting out with an over 400hp engine, throwing 14.5psi on it.... it SHOULD make that kind of power (actually I expected it to make more)

I know that LS9 should be pushing more power...
but the point was they put two new car together.
and honestly I like the Camaro body then Vetts pastic body...

SVTflyer03, and i think that was a stock SS motor
that is why this has LS9 logo on it...

BTW, is camaro also full of fiber glass?

My tuner, Torrie, at fastpartsnetwork.com, installed dual turbos on a Ford GT, tuned it, and got 1089 RWH out of it on his dyno. He also tuned a '93 Mustang Cobra and got over 700 RWH on motor, 815 RWH with NOS.

yeah about to say 14.5psi on that engine only making 650.
its respectable but they gained like 50% hp on 14.5psi.
im not really impressed, its sick and id take it but for how much it probably cost to do that i would just take that money and invest in a zr1.

The one from motortrend was not the ZR1 powered camaro, they couldn't get the electronics right in time.

Also for the dyno numbers all of the cars were rated engine hp not WHP, they took them to the dyno to confirm those numbers. What they found was the Camaro was under rated, the Ford was basically right on and the Mopar was not making the power it claimed (which they found was due to a Motor swap that ended up with the wrong motor in the car).
