Most likely he died. We don't have the protection of the 1 ton of metal and seatbelts and airbags. Hitting ANYTHING solid on a motorcycle usuall spells serious injury or more than likely death.

Assuming he didn't die he more than likely was in the hospital for a VERY long time.

the impact didnt look like it was anything that would kill you i estimate a few broken ribs or arm from landing on his side

I really doubt he died. That was a bad crash but not really that bad. It didn't look like he was going very fast either. I'd guess some broken bones and a bruised ego.

Whats crazy is how he lost control out of no where and he seemed worried about saving the bike instead of saving himself from the wall. Screw that I would dump that and look good on film doing it.

Do you guys think that might have been an instructional video? He panned from the wheel to the clutch then out behind the rider attempting to go into the upcomming turn???

When you get into a "pucker" situation sometimes instinct and panic kicks in. You just grab and hold on tighter. Usually this results in accleration on a bike since the throttle is where your right hand is. It looks as though he hit a patch of oil or water or something slick on the road right after he started to get into the throttle.

Don't know how many of ya'll ride but when you hit a slick patch and the rear in starts to come around that is a deffinate "pucker" moment. Also looks like he "target fixated" on the wall. Even if you are an experienced rider target fixation is a hard thing not to do. Think of it as trying to pull velcro apart longways instead of straight apart.

Not to mention "layin it down" will usually result in a worse situation. YOu can stop and steer a bike much faster than laying it down and trying to slide across the gound.
