Crap! That's sickening. Those last-gen RX7's are a rare breed. Hope damage was minimal. Friend of mine dropped his RSX-S off the jack (lip was machined improperly from factory) and bent up the front 2 rotors, slammed the radiator support through the hood, pranged the front bumper, etc etc. It was pricey. Hate to see how much that 7 cost to fix.

It reminds me of the comedian Ron White...

"I told Sears that I would keep telling this story until the lawsuit gets settled..."

"My wheel fell the f off!! It fell the f off turning my van into a tripod! The kid that put the new wheels on went to tire...COLLEGE, but I guess he was absent on 'lug nut day' !!"

haha...when you have lugs that are very loose it is loud when you drive...but i guess his motor was prolly loud because he was taking off but still it sounds like something is getting rubbed on kinda when they are super loose. But its obvious that he hand tightened the lugs and thats it.

Good Lord! All four came off!
I like how they were more concerned about a missing lug nut, nothing about the car itself.

When we "tech check", (especially novices) we always hit em with the question of "what are your wheels torqued to?".
If they just look dumbfounded, or say something like "300 ft-lbs" we know right away to start checking wheels.

And, don't worry eventerke, the torque wrench is always on board.

And, WeeAsp, thanks for the laugh!
I do believe I've seen that bit by Ron, though I'm still a fan of...
"Diamonds, that'll shut er up!"

for a minute....

My pleasure! I heard that bit the other day. So, it was ironic that this would get posted today.

WOW, that was incredible. I don't think I have ever seen all 4 wheels come off before.
