Arrow Don't let your car fly off the ground

In 2000,in Québec a young man died from speed and a bad move on the road.
His car just fly off the ground after a hill. This was videotaped by his friends.
Overall a bad idea and a bad move.

You can imagine that you cannot predict how a car react when it's in the air with obviously no traction on the road.A rock band has immortellize(sp?) the event.

I had all of my four tires leave the ground and I was very lucky to keep control of the car. I dont know how fast I was going but I was driving and I was doing 40 i hit the gas to pass someone and didnt see the railroad tracks and I jumped them. When I landed I had to pull over in parking lot to get my breath back and to recover from the huge adrenalen rush i had.

Back before I had the focus and joined the Military, There's this back road I liked to drive on back in Illinois. It was over 3 miles of straight road in the farm lands, and one day, me and my friends decided to go fast on this road, considering it's all private property.

Before I new it, the car got air and almost did a sumersult front end first because of this dip that didn't see until the last moment; no time for breaking either way.

It scared the crap out of me and threw my friend in the back seat almost to the front seat with my other friend.

Never again will I drive on that road. 1. Because it's rocky, 2. My focus is not made for that.

i got air once and its the last time im going to do it, we have this road near my house its straight with 2 consecutive bumps on it, its a big hill, ive tried to get air on it in my moms subaru outback wagon... WAY to heavy, just lifted u off the seat, but then i bought my focus and tried again, 70mph uphill and hit the first bump and lifted off for like a sec... i did it just to put a checkmark in the book" got car off the ground" never will do it again though...

like he said...

I jumped some railroad tracks in a 1988 Z24 - bent the steering cylinder. As mentioned, check it off, never do it again.
