SVT Clutch

How much should I expect to spend on a replacement clutch with installation? Should I go OEM or change clutches????

Well, because I know some people at a dealership who can get me a new clutch (OEM) and the upgraded flywheel for under $1,000.

stock dual mass clutch is caca. ive got clutch masters stg 3, and fidanza fly. very good combo.
i would upgrade the clutch and might as well have the flywheel done while your at it.

your probably going to spend about $1200 with installation and all the parts.
thats about what i spent with shipping, and labor.

I bought the updated oem clutch. $550 for everything (clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, slave, and bolts) and put it in myself.

Was it difficult for you to install? How much time did it take and were you on your own? I know, I'm just a million and one questions aren't I.

The clutch is fairly easy, it's just getting the transmission out and and back in that is a pain. A mechanic familiar with the process could do it in 6 hours, but it took me a good 16. A lot of that is finding out what special tools you need and then buying them.
