best tuner sct or preditor?

what is the best tuner for your mony and whats up with the "unlocked" ones ?
i have 04 svt with minor upgrades planned, and want a better tune.
i have a bud that has a 98 svt contor with 3.0l conversion and cai, and he wants to split the cost of a tuner if it will work for both cars.
any info would be apreciated, thax

It doesent realy come down to what devise/tool is best they will both load a tune into the SVT , It more comes down to what tune is best in the devise/tool

I have my Diablo Predators for 350.00 right now and feel it is the best tune out there

Now to answer your question , there is no tuner that will tune 2 cars once a tune is installed into a car the tool becomes locked to that car till the origional tune is replaced into the car again then that unlocks it

Tom

Your best bet is to go with Tom and get a predator.

Even though $350 ($370 with shipping) seems like a lot of money, a tune is by far the best bang for the buck you can get out of a SVTF mod. Better mileage, more performance and much better drivability are what you're getting.

Tom has been around for a long time and is very responsive to your needs. Get the tune, you won't be sorry.

Diablo and XCal II both allow data logging, but i like the idea of not needing a laptop for the diablo and just letting it record and taking it to the computer later. But SCT I believe is more popular for performance stores and their dynos and tunes. Also the pro racer package is sweet with SCT. I dont know what kinda software options you have with diablo. Untill someone tells me what calibration changes you can make with the diablo, I give the Xcal II the better tuner.

But the tuner doesn't mean anything without a good TUNE! When it comes to Diablo, Tom is your man. When it comes to SCT and Xcal II, I like Randy from Focussport, but there is also McNews and New Edge.

Will they ever be able to? Are they coming out with any upgrades to allow the predators to recalibrate air/fuel curves for the focus?

As for the software there is nothing in the SCT that cannot be changed in the Diablo so again it comes down to the tuner

I dont think you will ever see any adjustability out of the Predator for the SVT but i hope im wrong

Tom

Tom, so you can't changes things like tire size with the predator? I will be running two sets of wheels/tires for the summer/winter and need this adjustability. I am planning on going with your diablo if I can adjust the tires size, if not, I will have to look at other options. Thanks, Nate.

I did a lot of research on the 2 tunes available and although both are good tunes, it is really not tune vs tune but rather tuner vs tuner. You will not be disappointed at all in Tom's tune for the Predator. He has dialed in the best tune for the SVT. Just my 2 cents.
