Post Want/Need your Help/Opion ASAP

Okay, so my clutch is about to die on me (I've only got 42000 imles on my car). It started slipping in the upper gears (6, sometimes 5) and progressivly got worse. Now, I'm strong in only R,1st, and 2nd... I'm slipping through the rest of the gears. It'll catch, but if I try and gun-it... I just rev really high.

So, I'm gonna get a new clutch. I grabbed a small loan from the bank, and I'm trying to decide what to get.

I shouldn't need to replace the flywheel, should I? But, I can get the Fidanza alum flywheel for $250 from my sponsors. I won't get it if I won't need to replace it.. i'm not lookin forward to the chatter anyway.

I am a total n00b on clutches. Truth be told, I was ignorant on cars all together when I got my S2 Focus, but have been learning my way around as I come to things.. either by them breaking or my upgrading.

So, now it's time to learn about the clutch. I thought I'd be able to wing my way through a purchase.... boy was I wrong.

Does it include a throwout bearing, or no? Spec or CM? 4 prong, 6 prong, pressureplates, stage 1-4....

"oh, my."

I HAVE TO get this badboy replaced ASAP. Like... I want the parts on order in the next day or two.

I dunno why my clutch is going out on me in the first place @ only 42000 miles. I have only had it for 10k miles though, and I don't know how the previous owner treated it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ultrarev will give you a great price. If youíre going to call them ask for Ray. He will help you with your questions. Getting a Lightweight Flywheel is going to make car feel much better. You might want to get the flywheel balance with the clutch. Thatís what Iím doing to help cut down on the noise and the vibrations.

Good luck.

I did, and responded.

Any solid ideas on:
a) which clutch brand to get
b) to get the alum flywheel or not

I'mah go w/ stage 2 or 3, haven't decided fully yet.
