Question Header heatshield removal

What is the simplest way to remove the heatshield from the header? I unscrewed the four top screws but there isn't any clearance to remove it from the top. Any advise would help. Thanks.

There are still more screws further down the header...I have not removed mine, but I hear it is a TOTAL pain.

Just removing the freaking cat heat shield was SUCH a pain...prepare for many cuts, scrapes, bruises and curse words...

The reason why I'm removing it is because I ordered my FR coated header last Thursday and should be arriving this week so I'm trying to make installation go smoother for me or for whoever is going to install it.

And, I think I'm going to hold out on this and see if my dealership could remove it for me since I go there all the time for maintenance. I have an oil change coming up in the next two weeks, too.

it does seem that you need to remove the electric fans in order to get the heat shield out in 1 piece. it took me metal shears and a screwdriver to get that thing out. but the end result looks sooo much better. if you are getting the frpp coated header, are you going to be selling the old svt header?

Yes, Scrammer. I will be selling my old header I'm not sure on the price though. I'll have pics up and running in about two weeks or so after I have it removed. I'll keep in touch with you or anyone else that is interested.
