Passenger Side Motor Mount

Today as Im leaving my neighborhood I hit the tiny bump I hit everyday going 10 mph but this time I hear a loud bang and my wheel starts shaking. First I think a flat tire, but I check it its fine, I pop the hood and my engine is sitting tilted. The bolts from the passenger side motor mount broke in half and the oil pan landing on my axle boot and sent grease everywhere. Can i Just get new bolts or does the mount need to be replaced?

I just replaced the studs. Mine broke on a Sunday so went up to home depot on got some metric bolts for a temporary fix. The hardest part was getting the stud out of the block and luckily it doesn't take much to turn them.

BUMP

It was actually my cv joint boot that exploded. I can get a new boot fdor $40 but Im afraid the joint is probaly going to go bad after being exsposed to air. should i just get an axle or just try and fix the boot?

No biggie, there's nothing magical inside them that can't stand being exposed to air. It's just steel and grease. Just clean it up as best you can if it's got dirt inside it and put a new boot on it...use the grease that comes with the boot kit.

Yeah, just avoid driving on it as much as possible. It only broke recently, so as long as you clean it good, you'll be fine.
