Question Flywheel

Will a aftermarket flywheel void the warranty on my car?

in my experience anything that could break due to the new flywheel directly, will no longer be under warranty. for example, the whole transmission. As for the rest of the car no. say your dash burns out. did the flywheel cause this...No so its still covered. (unless the flywheel flew up threw the dash)

In most case's though it just depends on how nice your service center is. they may look the other way when they see the new parts, they might not.

If you are that worried about voiding your warranty I would stay away from a new flywheel.

anyone correct me if you feel im wrong

From what I was told by the service manager when I had mine it last time; if they suspect that your aftermarket part could be the cause of your failure, then it will void them doing warranty work on that part. But if you, say have a wheel bearing issue, they won't say "You have an after market flywheel, your warranty is voided"! I already have the rattling can of marbles on my svtf, and it only has 4400 miles on it. If the flywheel frags the tranny, when they are replacing everything, I'm going to have them install an aftermarket flywheel.

Alot of the places will do it Donielle had transmission problems then got here quaife installed at stunning price since they were already screwing with it

Personally I will wait and if mine has problems I will get an aftermarket flywheel but untill it does as they say if it ain't broke don't fix it

I got very lucky on the Quaife install, now my flywheel and clutch was another matter. My clutch started slipping at only 8000 miles at the time the whole issue the premature clutch failure was not known to Ford or SVT for that matter. I was told I would have to pay for a new clutch, I did, but did not go back to stock. My money was paying for it, so I went with the aftermarket SPEC stage 3 clutch and flywheel. The whole issue has now been since resolved on the whole clutch charge matter.

Although unless any of my aftermarket mods are the reason for a break or failure, everything is covered. I accept those terms, and to me they seem fair. Again though it has to do with the dealer, some can be very strict and not adhere to this. I know of a few that will not work on your car is you have anything other than stock parts.
