Angry warranty work BS!

About a week ago I take my car into Valley Ford. I took in for a bad idle the tipical SVTF problems and a squeky window. They told me that they would need the car for about 2-3 days bcause of how busy they were. So, I ask them about getting a rental cause it being and SVT and all and also about the wash. They just looked at me like I was an idiot! They had no idea as to what I was talking about. So I showed in the the SVT owners manual were it talked about the rental and stuff. Then they said that they dont participate in that program because they are not '' blue oval certified''. Anyone else heard about this? I havent seen any of these so called perks since I bought the car. No paperwork on it or anything. Any suggestions? thanks.

No they are not an SVT dealer but, I thought that a Ford dealer is a Ford dealer and would honor the SVT none the less.

on a regular car your right, but an stv is a different beast. I wouldn't take it to a dealer that wasn't blue oval certified anyways. Blue oval certified means they have worked hard to please customers and meet fords standards to be a premium dealer. Find a blue oval dealer and you will be happy

Vance is right, find another dealer that happens to be Blue Oval Certified.

Well if they sold you the car they should stand be hind the car blue oval or not...
If they sold you a svt and there not a svt dealer you should let the svt people know.
unfortunatly for you if they are not the svt dealer you will need to take it to one to get the proper assistance. good luck any ways.

yea, i had a similar problem, only certian dealers will honor that program that is offered by SVT not all dealers will offer that! and like everyone said take it to a blue oval certified dealer. you'll be more worry free because you can trust(sorta) what there doing to your baby! what i meant about being sorta trust worthy of an SVT dealer is because i ran into a problem when i got my oil changed and they put in 5W 20 motor oil, instead of 5W 30, and i asked the dealer and he said it was alraight cause since it's winter it won't have to work as hard cause it's not as thick, but luckily now i have changed to synthetic motor oil, so no worries for me anymore!

just find a BOC dealer. Plus, you really dont want some uneducated wrench head tinkering inside ur SVT. They hire anyone (qualified or not) to start being a mechanic. I should know, my sister runs the service drive at a BOC / SVT dealership down here. If its an SVT Dealership, there will be atleast 2-3 guys that work specifically on SVT's, thats what you want.

Hey svtf1 i know you are in the valley n all but i took my svt to airport marina ford (right next to the 405) at 7am and they had it back to me at 3:30p the same day. They are good people and are an SVT, blue oval dealer.
