AEM CAI with FC throttle body

Anybody have that combo, just curious what size and were you got coupler for throttle body to CAI, as there is no way the AEM coupler will fit on the 65mm throttle body.

i don't understand how it will not fit...seriously. thin walls and a few mm wouldn't make a difference. the zetec has a larger dia. change and theres no need to change the coupling. so how wouldn't it fit.

The outer diameter of the FC throttle body is WAY bigger than the stock throttle body. I'd try 3" to 3", but isn't that to big for the CAI pipe, I think thats like 2.75". Basically I think i need a 2.75 to 3" , but haven't been able to find one.

Is the FC throttle body worth it, performance wise?

From what I understand there are little to no gains, but I haven't seen a before and after dyno. Also the fc makes the pedal alot stiffer, which I like.

If its to hard to find the 3to 2 3/4 just tighten the hose clamp down really well. This is how I did it and there was no air leaks at all. I havent noticed toooo much hp difference with the TB however I have noticed better throttle responce and a cleaner deeper tone.

Call AEM and ask them where they get their connectors, maybe they will sell you one. Their CAI has a 2.75"-3.00" connector between the upper and lower tubes. I'd try that one.

The throttle body doesn't have an hp or torque gains, but does it improves throttle response a lot.
