If you want serious power and a serious increase in performance im afraid to say there are only 3 ways to go 1. Supercharging 2. Turbocharging 3. Engine Swap
Those are in order from least expensive to most expensive

You can do little things to make it a little faster if you look around at some of the Foci you will see some pretty souped up SVT's R&DSVTZX5 probably has the most souped up n/a focus on this forum you should check out here mods and get an idea of what you can do (Like I said even there won't be alot of major changes even with all she has done here 1/4 mile times have most likely only broken into the 14's)

Nah I said its from least expensive to most expensive a s/c costs anywhere from 3k-5k depending on if you want the JRSC or the Vortech a Turbo kit from Tom is about 6-7k Im pretty sure after the install and everything and an engine swap goes for anywhere from around 20k-50k (that RS8 swap is around 20k and the SVT Cobra-R Engine Swap is around 40 someodd if im not mistaken)

You could go cheap on a turbo but im saying for good quailty products thats what you would have to pay

yeah, i miss-stated what i meant to say. I meant I am suprised that the supercharger is cheaper than the turbo cause usually a supercharger is more money since its belt-driven.

Deh the V8 swap is expensive but it gives you like 400 hp 400 torque the SVT Cobra R swap will make you dominate Doge Vipers Lambos and Ferrari's and both of the swaps make the car RWD (I hate to admit it but the Focus engine swaps are extremly expensive)

The Turbo from Tom for the SVT is 5,800 plus 750 for instalation and dyno tunning which adds up to about $6,550 plus if you want a better Boost Controller etc. its more money

I always here about CRXs Integras and other imports that can run 10 or 11 second 1/4 miles and stuff but Honestly I am yet to see one in real life my guess is thats a hell of alot of work and engine swapping done to it because I don't know how something like that can go that fast and still be street legal

Sorry to jack your thread or go Off Topic

yeah, sorry dude, but atleast this gives you more indepth info on the super/turbo...

whats toms homepage? Id like to read about it and see why its so much money. Kits like the Greddy for imports cost about 3k plus the IC and BOV

Just wondering, this isn't exactly the right forum for me to say this on, but could you build a turbo kit and get tuning from Tom or something? I was just wondering if you could buy the parts a little cheaper? Just an idea.
