SVT-Most Fun to Drive

I was reading the Wall Street Journal today and they had an article rating the best cars and the SVT Focus won the "Most Fun to Drive" catagorie, beating the WRX which was last year's winner. They complimented on the handleing and acceleration. Just thought it was pretty cool.

i wish

seb that is part of the reason i almost got stung in that scam.i had a black euro on order for the wife for quite a while. got word on the 25th of last month that they were "balanced out" ford speak for "that's all folks" no we dont even get the real new focus that the rest of the world gets. my english car mag had a test last month-awesome and the group winner. they tested the diesel with 6 speed. 286 lb ft of torque. how about 9.2 to 62 mph and 45 mpg? and the cmax version is available which is a neat "mini" mini van. but no-we dont get it. i would say ford america "doesn't get it". damn it i dont want a ford 500!!!! i want an rs. oh right-by next year awd 300hp focus---for europe.

yeah, Europe gets all the good Fords. I just dont get it, a Mustang GT has 260hp/302trq... the SVT has 390hp/390trq. The F-150 gets 231hp/293trq... the SVT gets 380hp/450trq (not to mention the 500/500 they are coming out with in a 6-speed for 2005). Wheres the love for the Focus??? SVTF gets an amazing 30hp increase (15hp now with the 2.3 standard)

europe

well its always been that way honestly because of taxes and fuel prices in europe. a focus is a family car there and the hot hatch segment is big business with a halo effect for a car line.
