Just bought a Comp Orange EAP with 99K and all the maintenance stuff done to it for 5k. Love it so far. Kinda wish it was a 5 door. If i like it enough I might look to trade for a 5dr.
Picking up a 2004 SVT 3door today. 69k miles for 4,000. From the original owner. Needs a hood (minor damage), some small suspension work and a timing belt. Already has new clutch and flywheel and 2 sets of 17's (winter and summer tires).
2003 black ZX3 SVT sunroof.
Bought used June 2010.
Had 57k.
Asking $7800
Paid $7400
Was in amazing shape had an upgraded sound system (nothing dumb or huge just better speakers wiring and a small amp all fairly top of the line). K&N intake and carbon hood plus the stock hood. Also came with two extra sets of rims one with summer tires the other bare. only one previous owner, was a college kid sadly though he got in a motorcycle accident right out of college and got pretty banged up in 2006 (severe brain damage it was kinda sad) So the dad kept it garaged from then on, taking it out once a week to church to make sure everything was all good. He was hoping his son would recover enough to be able to drive it again but they realized that was never going to happen so decided to sell it.
ok guys so i am looking at buying an 03 comp orange svt with eap and 121000 miles. carfacts says that the car was in an accident and had airbag deployment. alll damage has been repaired and as far as i can tell, I would never guess that the vehicle was ever in an accident. drives perfect and there is only minor flaws on body (not due to accident). so how much would you guys pay for this car?
I would shoot for 5k. It was in an accident and has a considerable amount of miles on it. I know I paid 6900 for mine a year ago but it was in mint condition with 54k. Goodluck
yeah thats about where im at right now. it was at $6000 but i got him down to 5500 then i ran the carfacts at work and saw that so i offered the guy 4500 and we settled on 5k and meeting half way between locations
I paid $4,300 for my 2003 Black 3 Door 69k miles. Carfax shows right side impact with animal lol. The poor car still has the dents to prove it. I bought it through my boss at a dealership at wholesale price + $100 to the boss for finding it for me.
2003 Pitch Black SVTF five door.
91,000 miles
Cold weather package, HID's
$4,400
Great price, but I've had to sink $3,000 in wheels, tires, suspension, A/C, and Radiator.
I bought my SVTf with 104,000 and a check engine light on, I'm a pretty good mechanic so I haggled him down to $6000 from $7200.CEL was the cam timing selinoid. Previous owner was a Ford executive and dumped an ass load of cash in this thing, JRSC w/big boost kit, Ford Racing springs and sway bars and custom tune just to list a few things. Everyone I talk to that used to own a SVTf always has the same story of how they wrecked it, so keep wrecking 'em boys it will drive up the value of mine.
Just picked up an 04 Svt 3door w 68k mi. paid 4k. Needs a new hood (coming off my old focus). Came with extra set of black 17" euro rims with snow tires.
I got my 03 SVT ZX3 CD Silver a month ago now with 82kmiles for 5500, it has a Torsen Stage 3 Clutch Random Tech HCF and a brand new tune up<Pluged coil wires> anda old xcal 2 -.-
Picked up mine up in June of 2011
2003 SVT ZX3 EAP SCREAMIN' YELLOW
24,XXX Miles!!!! Looks and drives like new!
Toms Tune, Steeda Motor Mounts, 5% Window Tint
Drove 700 miles to get it, well worth the trip.
Paid $10,500
Very nice, I am jealous. My Stang was screamin yellow. Only one I found around me in that color was an 03 with 170k on it for $8500...no way. Nice car!
My first post and first day of ownership
I just picked up a 2003 ZX3 SVT EAP in Competition Orange. It's about to hit 100K miles, probably next week. Prior owner was a fanatic on keeping everything OEM as his dad is a Service Manager at a Ford dealership. Basically engine received a partial rebuild with new rings & bearings, belt, etc., at 72K niles. Around 82K it was all new struts. Only non-stock is ClutchMaster Stage III with 7# flywheel and rear bar in the trunk. He got the family rate of $30 per hour and cost + 10% on all parts and still spent around $7K in the last two years! He just replaced the seat heaters a few weeks ago and the air-bag module yesterday.
It drives like a new car. Arizona car, no rust, no damage. It does have vinyl graphics on the sides that looked bad on Craigs List but they grow on you (I just turned 51 the other day), and my wife and kids even said keep them on. Will see after I take it to a body shop for a quote and assurance the paint doesn't come off with them.
This things a blast and I intend on keeping it stock and driving it almost daily.
Paid $5600 for it. I wanted a fun car that gets MPG with a grin and $6K was about my budget. Up until last week, I never really thought about a car like this. Then I calculated I've spent over $5K in fuel this year alone with my '05 Expedition so I pulled the Focus SVT up for research. The more I learned, the more I liked. After looking here at SVT's for sale, I think I did OK.
I do need a new DS fog lamp or bezel. Is that an in-stock item?
I'll take a picture tomorrow and post it here.

The stripes are reflective and change with the sun light. They always look darker & stand out more in the pictures.
Notice the passenger side view. The sun was reflecting off the garage door and the stripes are less pronounced.
Update: OK..this SVT is like a drug[loveff]! I've already put 5,000 miles on it! Now has Michelin Pilot Super Sports in 225x45x17's (quite, handles, 30,000 mile warranty), Tom's Tune (get it!), new Motorcraft iridium plugs, wires & coil. I also put a short throw shifter from CFM in (love it!).
BMW Z3 took a stab at me off a light today and I clearly had him through 1st & 2nd then I let off [race]. That's the only drag race I've been in. Except a new SS Camaro. He had the jump and I was in 1st. At the top of 2nd I was actually gaining ground and blew it when I missed 3rd. I never miss a gear...except this time I guess.
I had the poly dog-bone mount from CFM. Took it off. With the aluminum flywheel and the mount, it was just too much vibration and noise.
I'm waiting for a shipment on a 67mm TB from CFM.
I've got to get this SVT to the drag strip and see what it will do!
2004 eap all options
64000 miles
came with new suspension all around and new front bearings new battery
purchased 4/8/11 $6300 cash
