Question ORP and Magnaflow

So I got my focus about 3 or 4 months ago... and I've been spending money on it left and right, mostly for cosmetic mods. Anyhow, I put some money into an exhaust and replaced the stock exhaust with a magnaflow muffler and tip. The sound was awesome, and I liked the throatyness when you stomp on the gas. Well about a week ago I installed the ORP I got from NewEdge, and only the thought of a REALLY Pissed off bumble bee can explain how shitty it sounds! I was thinking it would be A LOT louder... but didn't expect it to sound like $hit. So I'm not sure what to do... I'm thinking of buying a Magnaflow Resanator (I called them and they said the "resanators" they use for their cat-backs are just 4" Round Mufflers) and hoping to eliminate the nasty sound ones I hit 3Grand. Lemme know what you guys think.

he still has the magnaflow he just added the orp!

it's pretty known around here that a catback with the orp sounds pretty bad and loud too. maybe just try the resonator or if you don't want to throw more money at it just take the orp off

Hey Topherdopher, I have the same problem with my Mag cat-back. I am going to the muffler shop this weekend to try a glass pack or a resonator, whichever sounds better.

Will let you know.

Yea... I'm really considering it. Having it sound this bad, not being legal, and THEN also having to buy a resonator on top of it all is not worth it. I'll probably sell it on here. A whopping 20 miles at max of use. Was it still a little louder than stock once you put on the RT?

I've had no problems at all with traction... they've seemed to do real well in the rain (for day-to-day driving). I have yet to Run my SVTF... so I'm not sure how they do at the track.
