FR sts shifter bending + clutch tsb?

I just installed my fr sts yesterday and man is that a big difference. And this is after the clutch tsb getting fixed on thursday. WOW, night and shifts like a totally different car now. However, I now have to sit almost erect to reach 3rd and 5th gear...NOT COMFORTABLE. I had read in some other posts that some guys bent the FR shifter shaft to make it more comfortable to reach. I also noticed that the stock getrag shaft was also slightly bent. Do I bend the new FR shaft the same degree as the old one at a similar location(keeping in mind they are different lengths)? I don't know what to do but I do remember seeing a post that said something about to bend it 8 and 2 degrees back and to the left. Can anyone help or have suggestions?
