Doubt there is one because it's still pending in one state if you read their site carefully. And guess what state that is......? More than fv(kin likely its Cali!

EDIT: Also I thought that in California, any CAI you put on your car makes it smog illegal and cops have the right to tow your car right then and there if they see one. Could be ugly internet rumors, but I know how Jewish Cali is on their gay @ss smog laws!

I have the AEM CAI, and yes there is too a C.A.R.B. exempt number, it's on a silver-colored sticker right on the upper intake tube. VNMOUS, everything you said is "ugly internet rumors" so perhaps in the future you can let someone from California answer the question. We have "gay ass smog laws" in our state because we are a heavily populated state and many families have 2, 3, 4 or more vehicles. That's a lot of cars and without smog regulations the air would be even worse than it already is.

grezd jr, to answer your question, in case your intake does not have the sticker for some reason - this link is to a .pdf file that shows the intake for the SVT Focus is exempt:

Believe you me about heavy population, I used to live in SoCal for 8 years. But the smog laws are still gay. Damn hippies concerned about global warming! Hasn't the avg. temperature over the last 100 years only risen like a degree or 2? PANIC!

So you have firsthand experience with why controlling vehicle emissions is important (bad air quality in Southern California), but you still think the laws are "gay" - that makes sense. It's not just "paranoia" about long term effects, it's also about the immediate effects like keeping the air we breathe every day cleaner. Have you ever seen old footage of the Los Angeles basin from the '60s before smog laws were implemented? We should go back to that?

Isn't the Houston area in second place for worst air quality now? There are no "gay ass smog laws" there to speak of, so they will soon be in first place. The 90% humidity there that you don't get in SoCal will just add to the fun.

Why do we have to get into these hairsplitting discussions about this stuff? Back in the early '70s, before most emissions controls, you could get maybe 120 hp out of a 2-liter four; now you can get 240 hp out of them (Honda S2000), and it's almost a zero-emissions engine. What would you get yanking the cat off of that - may 245?

There are NO states that are going to FEWER emissions laws, so people with ORPs, regardless of the state they're in, are going to have headaches down the road. Just a fact of life.

The pattern on here for ORP threads is always the same - someone says they're going to get one, and that they're not worried - no cop is going to get down under their car, and then they put on the ORP and the first thing they all say is, "damn - this thing stinks!"

Cops have noses, too. They don't need to crawl underneath it.

And can we chill with the "gay" and "Jewish" comments? We know everyone in Sugar Land is straight, white, probably Southern Baptist and definitely Republican.
